I get asked fairly often what my diet consists of and what I do to get ready for a fight, so I figured I would take some time to go over what I eat and the break down.

First off, Im not a cook by any means. Now, I can cook certain things, but to really cook? Just not me. I try to keep things as simple as possible. It took me a while to dial down what works for me and I can say that what works for me may not work for everyone.

Basics. Next to no sugar, fried foods, low amounts of dairy, lean meats and vegetables, and as much water as I can drink in a day.

I found that raw greens helps on many different levels. energy, full feeling, low calories. I actually go and get 64oz of fresh greens(Kale, celery, Spinach, cucumber...) juiced, so I always have greens readily and easily available.

Between 4-6 small meals broken up through out the day.

Cutting of carbs after 7. I just stick to lean meats and veggies. Like I said, basic.

Every Monday I dont eat any solid food and keep my caloric intake below 1000 calories. I feel it helps me reset my metabolism and allows my body a day to settle its digestion.

Here is a break down of a day meal plan. Ill take today......Actually, Ill also put in my Monday plan since its really easy.

MON: protein shake breakfast/mix with greens juice

snack, greens juice

lunch: protein shake

snack: greens juice

Dinner Protein Shake

TODAY : Breakfast: Organic oatmeal with Almond butter and Agave(doesnt spike your insulin levels), Greens juice
Snack: Salmon jerky, almonds, half a protein bar
Lunch: Tuna on wheat pita with spinach salad
Snack: Half protein bar, salmon jerky
Dinner: Egg Whites with chicken, spinach, onion and hot sauce.
Snack: Salmon Jerky

VERY Simple and easy. Ill actually eat the same thing days in a row with slight changes(like yesterday, I had Chicken Kabob for lunch). This has worked for me and Its been fairly easy.

Now, I also give myself one cheat meal a week, but make sure I dont go too over board(I usually get pho(vietnamese soup) or sushi) up until 2 weeks out, then it NO cheating.
