Today is Sunday, the one day of the week where I don't workout. Now, this Sunday it being right before my fight, I wont do anything. Ive been pushing through 8 or more weeks of training and my body needs to recuperate. I would normally try to do some "active rest" like a walk or a moderate hike to ensure I'm still burning calories and keeping my muscles working. Like I said though, I am relaxing and really enjoying it.

Ive pushed my body hard and reflecting back on the weeks in the gym, I'm ready. I cant speak for all fighters, but many I have talked to agree, its hard to push through mentally and rise to the occasion for training day in and day out. Its another battle that doesn't include the physical .

I get people telling me all the time "I would LOVE to have your job"! Now, I enjoy what I do, but it becomes a job like anything else. Train, eat, train, relax, train. That is a day in and day out constant. Breaks? Sure I get them but not on a "normal" schedule. Christmas day, while everyone else is sitting with family and having a meal, I'm doing wind sprints and conditioning. When everyone else is gorging on Thanksgiving dinner, I'm watching everything I'm eating. Now this isn't a complaint, Its what I do and if I didn't want to, I would get an office job.

So, here I sit on a Sunday, letting my tired body rest and recover. I'm more than ready for this fight and I know in my heart and mind that I will win this fight. The REAL work and 100% comes out on Thursday. I hope everyone enjoys watching what Ive put the work in to make happen
